Submitting a news article

The Community News section carries articles about coastal Carolina living and about individual communities. You can submit articles from Articles in the portal.

Writing one

Give it a title, choose a category, write the body in the editor, and add a featured image. Articles you submit are linked to your community, so readers can go straight from the article to your listing.

Review

Articles are reviewed before publishing. Save as a draft while you work, then submit when it is ready. If we reject one, you will see the reason on the article so you can revise and resubmit.

What works

Genuine news and useful local knowledge — a new amenity opening, seasonal events, what a neighbourhood is actually like to live in. Straight advertising copy tends to be rejected; that is what your listing and your ads are for.

Scheduling

You can set a future publish date, and the article will go live then, provided it has been approved.
