What do the "Featured" and "Premier" badges mean?

They indicate the advertising plan a community has purchased — not a quality rating or an endorsement from us.

Some community listings carry a Featured or Premier badge. These indicate the advertising plan that community has purchased from us.

They are not a quality score, a rating, or a recommendation. A community without a badge is not worse than one with a badge — it has simply chosen a different plan, or none at all.

Why we show them

Communities on higher plans get more visibility on the site, including larger placements and, in some cases, advertising slots. We label those placements so you always know when placement has been paid for.

How to judge a community

Use the details, not the badge. Amenities, location, home types, price range, and your own visit will tell you far more than a plan tier will.
