Help for Community Seekers

What is Carolina Ocean Living? A directory of planned and coastal communities across North and South Carolina, built for people researching a move. Is it free to use? Yes. Browsing, searching, saving communities, and contacting communities are all free for community seekers. What do the "Featured" and "Premier" badges mean? They indicate the advertising plan a community has purchased — not a quality rating or an endorsement from us.

How do I search for communities? Start from the Find Communities page, then narrow by state, city, or a keyword. Using the Advanced Search filters Price, lifestyle, amenities, beach distance, features, and home types — and how each one behaves. Can I search in plain English? Yes — describe what you want and the search will translate it into filters for you. Using the community map See where communities actually sit relative to the coast, towns, and each other. What's on a community's page? Photos, amenities, home options, and how to reach someone — laid out in tabs.

What is a Discovery Visit? A structured visit some communities offer so you can spend time there before making a decision. How do I request a Discovery Visit? Request one from the community page. The community contacts you directly to arrange the details.

How do I save a community? Use the Save button on any community page. Saved communities live on your dashboard. How do I contact a community? Use the inquiry form on the community page. It goes to that community's representative. Subscribing to and unsubscribing from the newsletter Get new communities and coastal Carolina news by email, and leave any time in one click.
