Banner ad approval

Banner ads appear on the homepage, so we review each one before it runs. A new banner is submitted as pending and shows that status in your Advertising list.

What we look for

• The image is legitimately yours to use
• Text is readable at the size it actually displays
• Claims are accurate and not misleading
• The ad matches the community it links to

If it is rejected

We include a reason. Edit the ad to address it and resubmit — a rejection is not a strike against your account.

Block ads are different

Block ads are approved automatically and go live as soon as you save. Only banner ads go through review.
